V-ILP© HAIR REMOVAL

IPL HAIR REMOVAL

IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) is similar to laser treatment, but the light is less concentrated. Where lasers use a single focused wavelength, IPL spreads out the light using several wavelengths. Since IPL uses a diffused light, it gives off less energy and is gentler than laser treatment. Laser treatments typically alter the structure of skin cells to remove or re-shape unwanted blemishes, tattoos, or scars. It is important to see a trained technician that knows how to evaluate your skin type to let you know what method might be best for you. IPL is very effective for hair reduction. Hair is only able to be removed when itis in one of the four phases of growth called the Anagen stage. It is because of this that multiple appointments are needed to effectively remove your hair. Since only about 25% of your hair is in any one cycle at a time, the hair needs to be treated at various times to try to capture the various hair in the proper phase for removal.

During your IPL Treatment

Your aesthetician will thoroughly cleanse your skin, so you can either come with orwithout makeup. After the skin is clean, the aesthetician will apply a cool gel to your skin, which enhances the effect of the light waves. The aesthetician moves the laser over the skin in a grid-like pattern, flashing the light about every centimeter. Depending on your need, the aesthetician may go over the area multiple times.

After IPL Treatment

After the treatment, the aesthetician will again clean the skin, removing the gel. You will likely be slightly red and puffy, but there is no significant downtime. You are free to reapply make up right away and return to your normal skincare routine. Be sure to stay out of the sun for at least the next week and be consistent in sunscreen application.

Viora V-IPL is setting a new standard for intense pulsed light treatments offering instant, comfortable, and high standard results for Skin Rejuvenation, Acne Clearance, Vascular Lesions, Pigmented Lesions, and Hair removal. The main principle ofPCR™Technologyis to facilitate choosing between three diverse pulse configurations: Single, Multiple, and Rapid. The Single-pulse configuration represents a typical pulse structure, whiletheMultiplepulse configuration represents a pulse that is divided into three sub-pulses with two delays in-between. The delay allows the epidermal cells and smaller vessels to cool down between pulses while the heat is retained in the target tissue(vessels, hair follicles, etc.) resulting in selective thermal damage (the principle of thermokinetic selectivity). Consequently, this Multiple-pulse configuration enables high fluence delivery to the skin, with elevated safety treatment profile and deeper depth penetration, which allows using higher energy fluence for darker skin patients.
